Lake Tahoe Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in South Lake Tahoe, California.
Lake Tahoe golf course first opened for play in 1962. The course was designed by William F. Bell.
Just minutes from the South Shore of Lake Tahoe, Lake Tahoe Golf Course is considered by many to be Tahoe’s best championships golf value. Located in a mountain meadow surrounded by the High Sierras, this spectacular 18 hole golf course will challenge golfers of all levels. For those looking to fine tune their game, Lake Tahoe Golf Course practice areas and a driving range.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,741 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,703 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 575 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 13, a 453 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Lake Tahoe Golf Course is # 7, a 353 yard par-4.

Played this course on the way into Tahoe for a mini-vacation. Beautiful course and challenging, wasnt very enthusiastic on the price but it wasnt horribly overpriced. Some incredible holes right next to flowing rivers and beautiful mountains. There are some great holes that force you to hit something besides driver off the tee. Greens rolled pretty well and were soft. Played this course the day before Edgewood so obviously not fair to make a comparison but worth playing next time I am in Tahoe.

This is one of my favorite courses! It isn't too challenging (which I prefer) and the scenery is BEAUTIFUL!! There is a river that runs through some of the holes. If you are looking for a fun and enjoyable day of golf, play this course!

For the money, it's one of the better second tier courses in all of Tahoe. Still there are better options to be had, depending upon where you are coming from. (Apple Mountain down I-50 in Camino, Genoa Lakes over the Kingsbury Grade south of Reno). Nothing wrong with the course at all -- the setting is beautiful -- but just not anything super special.
